NLSLA works to widen access to healthcare and offers assistance to people struggling to get coverage and resolve problems with health plans. The organization also partners with doctors in community clinics and hospitals to identify and address legal issues impacting individual and community health. Through the basic necessities of food, clothing, utility assistance, resources, and more for families and individuals challenged by the effects of low-income or situational crises. They are the faces of children, young working parents, they are two parent families and single parent families, seniors, disabled, and veterans on fixed incomes. One in five people in Larimer County currently lives in poverty.
